Energy Conservation Promotion Act, 1992 (Thailand)
The Energy Conservation Promotion Act provides for energy conservation measures in factories, in buildings, machinery and equipment, and promotion of energy-efficient materials. Measures specified include reduction of heat from sunlight, energy-efficient construction materials and efficient machinery for energy conservation. It further sets up a fund in the Ministry of Finance named "Fund for Promotion of Energy Conservation" which shall consist, among others, of contributions from mandated persons and surcharges prescribed by the Act.
