The Foreign Investments Act of 1991, Republic Act No. 7042 (Philippines)
The Foreign Investments Act of 1991 provides for the law which regulates foreign ownership in the Philippines. It declares the State's policy in attracting foreign investments to contribute to national development. It provides for the percentage of foreign ownership which are permitted in domestic market enterprises and a list of investment areas which are reserved to Philippine nationals pursuant to relevant laws and existing enterprises which do not require further foreign investment. Selected provisions of the Act were subsequently amended by Republic Act No. 11647.
