The Nagoya Protocol to the Convention on Biological Diversity has the objective of a fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources, including by appropriate access to genetic resources and by appropriate transfer of relevant technologies. In order to achieve fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources, parties shall take legislative, administrative or policy measures as appropriate.

The Water Resources Regulation provides for the form of applications for water use permit, including the permit to take, dam or otherwise use water, discharge water or waste or for water investigation. The forms for the applications, permits, and various fees are appended as schedules of the Regulation

The 2015 formulation of the National Disaster Risk Management Plan identifies three disaster risk management targets, namely, ensuring overall readiness of the national disaster risk management system, cultivate a lifelong learning culture of all sectors of society to gain a better grasp of disaster risk management and increase public safety awareness. The Act provides for the conservation of biodiversity, its sustainable use and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits from the utilization of genetic resources. It promotes research on biodiversity and biological resources – leading towards biotechnological inventions and their commercial utilization.
