Climate Change Action Plan for Water Resources and Meteorology 2014-2018 (Cambodia)

The Climate Change Action Plan for Water Resources and Meteorology outlines the response to climate change for the sector. It identifies four strategic areas for the sector, namely: improved hydrological planning and management and early warning, improved flood and drought management, through changes in design of reservoirs and irrigation and protection infrastructures, especially in vulnerable zones, capacity development for Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology staff, and promoting gender responsiveness in climate change planning in the water sector.

Reasoning that the “citizens of the country have a fundamental right to a wholesome, clean and decent environment,” the National Green Tribunal passed directives to protect the eco-sensitive glacial region.
