National Environmental Protection Strategy Implementation Plan to 2020, with Vision to 2030, PM Decision No. 166/QD-TTg, 2014 (Viet Nam)

The Plan for implementation of national environmental protection Strategy by 2020 with a vision to 2030 (hereafter referred to as Plan) defines the duties for implementation of contents, measures and solutions of the Strategy as a basis for the ministries, sectors and localities to develop and implement the annual environmental protection plan as per the assigned functions and duties to obtain the target of strategy. It provides for the prevention and control of the potential pollution sources and areas of environmental pollution, the control, treatment and reduction in potential pollution sources, improvement and restoration of polluted areas, investment in environmental and technical infrastructure building, effective and sustainable exploitation and use of natural resources, natural conservation and biological diversity, capacity strengthening in response to climate change and reduction in greenhouse gas emission, scientific research, development and application of technology for environmental protection, development of environmental economic sector to support other economic sectors in solving environmental problems, strengthening and diversification of investment for environmental protection, and international cooperation on environmental pollution. It also outlines the resources for implementation of the strategy.
