The Act established the Laguna Lake Development Authority which is mandated to promote and accelerate the development and growth of the Laguna Lake area, and surrounding provinces, cities and towns.

The Act provides the laws and regulations for the protection, preservation and management of wildlife to maintain a healthy ecosystem, as well as to safeguard the safety and health of the public.

The fundamental law of Singapore declares that the country shall be a sovereign republic to be known as the Republic of Singapore. The constitution recognizes fundamental liberties of persons, as well as sets out the structure of government.

The Report of the Third Committee indicates that several countries introduced a draft declaration on the elimination of discrimination of against women for consideration by the General Assembly. In support of the draft resolution, it was pointed out that despite the efforts which have been made by the United Nations, such discrimination against women still exists.

The Act requires creditors to fully disclose all costs related to a credit transaction to enable the public to know the true cost of a credit.

Resolution No. 1721 was passed by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 1961. UNGA Resolution 1721 urged UN Member States and appropriate specialized agencies the early and comprehensive study of measures to "advance the state of atmospheric science and technology so as to provide greater knowledge of basis physical forces affecting climate and the possibility of large-scale weather modification."

The Act declares the Government's policy to prevent certain acts of public officers and private persons which constitute graft or corrupt practices or which may lead thereto, in line with the principle that a public office is a public trust. It defines the prohibited acts relating to graft and corruption.

The Act established measures to ensure equal opportunities and treatment in employment for persons with disabilities.

The Act established the regulatory framework for the protection of trademarks.

The fundamental law defines Malaysia as a Federation consisting of the States of Johore, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor and Trengganu. The constitution also recognizes the fundamental liberties including the right to life.
