Biofuels Act of 2006 (Philippines)

The Biofuels Act of 2006 declares that it is the policy of the State to reduce dependence on imported fuels with due regard to the protection of public health, the environment, and natural ecosystems. The Act provides for the mandatory use of biofuels, requiring the blending of bioethanol into gasoline and biodiesel into diesel, within the periods and in the proportions specified.

The Regulation provides that forest management and formulation of forest management plans, as well as forest exploitation, is under the authority of the government and regional governments.
