Labour and Employment Act of Bhutan, 2007

The Act provided the policies on prohibitions against forced or compulsory labor, worst forms of child labor, discrimination of employees and job seekers, and sexual harassment. It established the labor administration and laid down the procedure for the resolution of labor disputes. 

The Act also provided the rules and requirements with respect to contracts of employment, as well as other work conditions such as compensation, hours of work, leaves and wages. It also established the mandated requirements for occupational health and safety standards.
