Jackson vs. Attorney General, 2009 WSSC 122 (Samoa)
The applicants opposed the "Road Switch Day" which was about to be implemented, pursuant to the Road Transport Reform Act, by requiring all cars to switch driving to the left-hand side of the road from the right-hand side. They argued that the switch will increase the risk of vehicular accidents and the increased risk violates the constitutional provision that no person shall be deprived of his life intentionally, except by way of a penalty for a statutory offense. The court held that the constitution is clear in proscribing only intentional deprivation of life, and does not provide for a positive duty for the state to protect life.

International Arbitration Order (Brunei Darussalam)
The International Arbitration Order provides for the reform of laws on international arbitration and the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards in Brunei. It expressly adopts the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration which shall have the force of law in Brunei. It also adopts the definition of an arbitration agreement in the Model Law. It sets out the procedure for the recognition and enforcement of an arbitral award by a competent court.

Circular on Awarding Renewable Energy Contracts and Developer Registration, DOE Department Circular No. DC 2009-07-0011 of 2009 (Philippines)
The Circular provides the guidelines on the award of Renewable Energy Service/Operating Contracts (RE Contracts). The Circular defines an RE Contract as a service agreement between the Government and an RE Developer in which the latter shall have the exclusive right to explore, develop or utilize a particular RE area. RE Contracts shall be awarded through an open and competitive process of selection or by direct negotiation, the procedures for which are provided in the circular.
