An Act Providing for the Magna Carta of Women, Republic Act No. 9710 (Philippines)

The Magna Carta of Women declares the State's policy to accord full protection for women's human rights, and eliminate all forms of discrimination against them, in accordance with the Philippines' commitment in the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. It declares that the State is the primary duty-bearer in ensuring the full protection of women's rights including the right to food, right to housing, right to decent work, right to livelihood, credit, capital and technology, right to representation and participation, and right to information.
