The Act establishes the Climate Change Trust to redress the impact of climate change in Bangladesh. Together with this, a Climate Change Trust Fund is established which shall be used in facing the risk arising from climate change.

The functions of the Ministry include matters relating to climate change, ozone depletion, movement or disposal of hazardous wastes and chemicals, desertification and drought relief, preservation of wetlands and management and protection of coastal areas, conservation of endangered species, preservation of biological diversity, and aspects of the environmental management of international waters.

The National Energy Policy of Palau essentially aims for improved institutional arrangements for energy sector management. In order to bring about an adequate institutional framework, the Policy pushes for an Energy Act which would determine the functions and authority required for efficient energy administration.

The Act provides the legal framework which shall govern the rehabilitation or liquidation of debtors pursuant to the State's policy to encourage debtors and creditors to resolve and adjust competing claims and property rights.

The author of the communication claimed that she suffered discrimination as defined in the Convention on Elimination of Discrimination against Women when the court dismissed her rape complaint on the basis of gender-based myths and stereotypes. The Committee found that there was a failure in investigating, prosecuting, and punishing the perpetrator, and in providing redress to Vertido, due in part to the stereotypes and gender-based myths relied upon in the judgment. Stereotyping negatively affects a woman's right to a fair trial and the judiciary must not create or perpetuate inflexible standards of what someone should or should not have done when confronted with a rape situation.

Pursuant to the Renewable Energy Act of 2008, the Resolution established the regulatory framework for the Feed-in Tariff System and the Feed-in Tariff Allowance. Several portions of the Resolution were subsequently amended by Energy Regulatory Commission Resolution No. 15, Series of 2012.

The Administrative Order prescribes guidelines applicable to all issuers, distributors and sellers of gift checks, certificates or gift cards in order to protect the welfare of consumers.
