Rules Governing the Accreditation of Certification Authorities for Digital Signatures, Department of Trade and Industry, Department Administrative Order No. 10-09, Series of 2010 (Philippines)

The Act provides the responsibilities of the Department of Trade and Industry, through the Philippine Accreditation Office, in the operation of the accreditation scheme of Certification Authorities (CA) for digital signatures. The CA issue the digitally-signed public key certificates and attest that the public key embedded in the certificate belongs to the particular subscriber as stated in the certificate. 

The Act further provides for the operational, financial and technical criterion and conditions for accreditation. It also outlines the process for application for CA's accreditation, and the terms and conditions of an accreditation certificate issued to qualified CA.
