National Environmentally Sustainable Transport Strategy for the Philippines, 2011 (Philippines)

The overall goal of the National Environmentally Sustainable Transport (EST) Strategy is the reduction of the annual growth rate of energy consumption and associated greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions from the transport sector in the urban areas; and enhancement of sustainable mobility through the development of a viable market for EST goods and services, which involves the promotion of transportation systems of low-carbon intensity and shift towards the use of more sustainable transport modes. The Strategy discusses the issues and challenges in the transport sector, as well as the corresponding strategies, indicators and action plans.

ASEAN Action Plan on Joint Response to Climate Change

The Action Plan on Joint Response to Climate Change intends to implement the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders' Statement on Joint Response to Climate Change. The Statement recognizes that the South East region is vulnerable to climate change which will seriously affect most aspects of livelihood and limit ASEAN development options for the future. The program of action includes adaptation, mitigation, finance and investment, and capacity building.
