Singapore's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution and Accompanying Information (2016)

The Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) communicates that Singapore intends to reduce its Emissions Intensity by 36% from 2005 levels by 2030, and stabilize its emissions with the aim of peaking around 2030. Thus, its greenhouse gas emission is projected to be 0.113 kgCO2e/S$ in 2030. The INDC also sets out Singapore's longstanding and future actions to increase resilience.

The Circular provides the guidelines for the policy of maintaining the share of renewable energy (RE) in the country. It provides that to maintain the share of RE in power generation, the Department of Energy (DOE) adopts a policy of having at least 30% share of RE in the country's total power generation capacity through the wholistic implementation of the Feed-In Tariff System and the RE Act and RE implementing Rules and Regulations.

Report on Encryption, Anonymity and the Human Rights Framework, A/HRC/29/32

The Report of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression addresses the use of encryption and anonymity in digital communications. It notes that encryption and anonymity provide individuals and groups with a zone of privacy online to hold opinions and exercise freedom of expression without arbitrary and unlawful interference or attacks. The report concludes that encryption and anonymity enable individuals to exercise their rights to freedom of opinion and expression in the digital age and, as such deserve strong protection.
