The Joint National Action Plan for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management sets out a granular strategy in order to comprehensively address the climate change impacts in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The proposed actions on the critical issues provide an updated action plan which could apply whether the source of the risk is climate driven or otherwise.

The Maldives' Energy Policy and Strategy 2016 consists of revised policies derived from Maldives' Energy Policy and Strategy 2010. The nine policies in 2010 are reduced to five key policy statements that are linked to other national energy policies and Sustainable Development Goals' seven targets.

The court held that the tabulation of offenses under the Code of Criminal Procedure is an unambiguous complete and comprehensive guide for the compounding of offenses. The courts must not go bend the test laid down by legislature and substitute it with its own test. Moreover, compounding of non-compoundable offense is against public policy.

The Act governs the prevention, abatement and control of environmental contamination, in accordance with the fourth goal of the National Goals and Directive Principles of the Constitution. A person discharging, emitting or depositing contaminants into the environment may apply for a license for these purposes. However, if the discharge, emission or deposit of the environmental contaminant constitutes a clear, present or major danger to public health, safety or welfare, the immediate cessation thereof may be ordered.

The Vanuatu Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction Policy envisions Vanuatu as a nation whose communities, environment and economy are resilient to the impacts of climate change and disaster risks. The policy provides a framework through which risks can be identified, assessed, reduced and managed.

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Act created a National Disaster and Mitigation Committee consisting of the Prime Minister or designated Deputy Minister as Chairperson, together with Ministry Secretaries as members. The Committee has the power and duty to propose the policy and formulate the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Plan.

The vision for the National Power Policy of 2013 is that Pakistan will develop the most efficient and consumer centric power generation, transmission and distribution system that meets the needs of its population and boosts its economy in a sustainable and affordable manner. It sets nine (9) goals to achieve the long-term vision of the power sector and overcome its challenges.
