Twelfth Five-Year Plan, 2012-2017, 2013 Volume I (India)

The Twelfth Five-Year Plan proposes a two-pronged strategy focusing on the need to bring the macroeconomic imbalances under control and to reverse the slow down, while also pushing for structural reforms in many areas that are critical for maintaining medium-term growth. It sets a target of 8% growth over the five-year period 2012-13 to 2016-17. Volume I includes an overview and a discussion of the macroeconomic framework, financing, sustainable development and of water, land issues, environment, forestry and wildlife, science and technology, innovation, governance and regional equity.

Ranjit Hazarika vs. State of Assam, (1998) 8 SCC 635 (India)

The accused in a rape case argued that no rape was committed as no injury was found on the private parts of the victim and her hymen was found to be intact. The court said that neither the non-rupture of the hymen nor the absence of injuries on her private parts belies the testimony of the prosecutrix particularly since the court found that in the cross-examination of the prosecutrix, nothing has been brought out to doubt her veracity or to suggest as to why she would falsely implicate the appellant and put her own reputation at stake.

Marine Water Quality Regulations, 1992 (Marshall Islands)

The Marine Water Quality Regulations identify the uses for which the marine waters of the Republic of the Marshall Islands shall be maintained and protected, to specify water quality standards required to maintain designated uses and to prescribe regulations necessary for implementing, achieving and maintaining marine water quality. The Regulations declare that it is the policy of the state to maintain water quality that will provide for the propagation of aquatic life, protect marine resources, enhancement of human subsistence uses, and for recreation in and on the water.

In a case for custody over a minor, the Family Judge, ruling in favor of the husband, used such pejorative terms against the wife such as "crippled disabled lady with [zero] source of income." The Supreme Court held that neither the mother's physical condition nor her income is determinative in a custody case.

Update of Nationally Determined Contribution of Maldives, 2020

In the Updated Nationally Determined Contribution of Maldives, it targets 26% reduction of emissions in 2030 (under a BaU) in a conditional manner, in the context of sustainable development, supported and enabled by availability of financial resources, technology transfer and capacity building. It further aims to reach net-zero by 2030 provided that it secures extensive support and assistance from the international community. The Climate Change Action Plan, 2016-2018 presents a number of strategic actions targeting environmental protection, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, green growth, environmental education, awareness raising, and climate change governance. It presents 17 key expected impacts from its implementation including: (1) greater public awareness of climate change issues; (2) increased institutional capacity and mainstreaming of climate change issues into national and subnational planning; (3) increased community resilience; and (4) greater contribution to the greenhouse gas emission reduction efforts, with increased volumes of carbon credits issued from carbon offset projects in Cambodia.
