Mst Mahar Angiza v. Bakhti Raja, 2014 MLD 962 (Pakistan)
The plaintiff filed a suit against her brothers to the effect that she is the legal sharer in a parcel of land, being the legal heir of her father. The defendants opposed, claiming that their sister had already received her hereditary share in the form of cash from one of her brothers. The court held that the allegation that the plaintiff was paid must be proven through cogent and reliable evidence.

The goal of the Kaveinga Tapapa, the Climate and Disaster Compatible Development Policy of the Cook Islands, is to provide an integrated and coherent policy and planning framework that directs country led and coordinated adaptation and mitigation actions and resources towards climate and disaster compatible development outcomes. Its intended strategic outcomes include sustainable water, food, energy and social security; increased community preparedness and adaptation to risks and impacts; effective and sustained use of land, sea and natural resources; and safeguarded biodiversity and ecosystems.

National Disaster Management Law, 2013 (Myanmar)
The Law establishes the National Natural Disaster Management Committee, which duties and powers include laying down the policies for natural disaster management; forming various disaster management work committees; allocating responsibilities among the committees at the regional or state level; submitting a report to the President to declare disaster affected areas; coordinating local authorities and organizations for timely evacuations; screening, cooperating and supervising international organizations or foreign countries aiding disaster management efforts, among others. The Law also empowers the President to declare an area as a natural disaster-affected area if it is known that there has been a severe natural disaster which causes extensive loss of life and property, and damage to the environment and it is believed that there may be difficulties in the rapid restoration of normality.
