Act for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Bullying, Act No. 71 of 2013 (Japan)
The Act defines bullying as physical or psychological acts committed by one child towards another child who attends the same school or with whom they share a personal relationship, including acts committed online, which cause that child physical pain or psychological suffering. It prohibits bullying, and provides the responsibilities and basic policies to be observed by the government, school operators, schools, teachers and school staff to prevent and address bullying. It also provides for actions to be taken by schools and its operators for reports on bullying.
