Electricity Act (2009)
This Act aims to regulate the generation, transmission, distribution, supply and use of electricity. The administration of the provisions of this Act shall vest in the Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) established under the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002.

Order declaring the Thalangama Environmental Protection Area.
This Order declares that the limits of area of land described in Schedule I shall be an environmental protection area for the purposes of the National Environmental Act, 1980.The Order defines functions and powers of the Central Environmental Authority, in relation to the Thalangama Environmental Protection Area, which shall be limited to the ones specified in Schedule II and shall be exercised and discharged in accordance with the conditions set out in Schedule III.
National Environmental (Protection and Quality) Regulations (No. 1 of 2008).
These Regulations provide for industrial pollution control through environmental protection licensing schemes.Wastes which may cause pollution or cause noise pollution may be discharged, deposited or emitted only under the authority of an Environmental Protection Licence issued by the Central Environmental Authority, and in accordance with the standards and criteria specified in Schedule I attached to these Regulations.
