ADB Holds Comprehensive Training for Cambodian Judges on Climate and Environmental Law
On 11–15 March 2024, ADB's Law and Policy Reform Program collaborated with the Royal Academy for Justice of Cambodia to provide comprehensive training for judges in handling climate and environmental law litigation. This workshop marked a significant innovation in judicial education on environmental law because it focused on the craft of adjudication, complementing previous training on climate and environmental law.
ADB Co-Organized Second ASEAN Environmental Law Conference
Over 4,500 participants attended the three-day conference covering 15 sessions on the myriad of environmental and social challenges facing the ASEAN region. The conference brought together development partners, civil society organizations, judges, academia, lawyers, private sector and other interested stakeholders from 66 countries to discuss legal, policy and community-based actions to transform principles of environmental law into practice.
Train-the-Trainers Country Focal Points' Virtual Meeting
The Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Train-the-Trainers Country Focal Points (CFPs) comprising senior professors from 12 countries across Asia convened on 25 October 2021 for a Third Virtual Roundtable to discuss developments around environmental and climate change laws and legal education.
ADB Establishes Network of University Educators to Advance the Practice of Environmental, Climate Change, and Sustainability Law
ADB established a regional network of university teachers, trainers, and practitioners dedicated to advancing the teaching and practice of environmental, climate change and sustainability law across the Asia-Pacific.
