Train-the-Trainers Country Focal Points' Virtual Meeting
The Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Train-the-Trainers Country Focal Points (CFPs) comprising senior professors from 12 countries across Asia convened on 25 October 2021 for a Third Virtual Roundtable to discuss developments around environmental and climate change laws and legal education. They shared their efforts to safeguard environmental laws as their respective countries recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, including actions against increased plastic pollution, and projects posing large-scale deforestation and disaster risks. These CFPs were part of an initial cohort of senior professors from 14 countries whom ADB brought together in 2015 to improve environmental law teaching in the region. They have since led in-country training programs and networks, improved environmental and climate law curriculums, and worked closely together on knowledge sharing initiatives.
