Punjab Gender Parity Report 2017 (Pakistan)

The Punjab Gender Disparity Report for 2017 showed that there is a younger masculinized population and older feminized population. As to governance, the report illustrated that there still remains to be lower representation of women in governance structures. It stated that there has been significant progress on several health indicators, but female life expectancy still remains below male life expectancy. 

As to education, the female literacy rate has increased gradually but noted that women's participation in economic activities in Punjab still remains low. It further noted that the cases of violence against women has increased from the last year. 

The report finally lists the recommendations to address the findings related to each key thematic area.
