Price Tags/Labels and Providing Prohibition Against the Imposition of a Surcharge, Extra Charge or Additional Charge in the Use of Credit/ATM/Debit Cards for Payment of Consumer Products or Services, DTI DAO No. 10, Series of 2006 (Philippines)
Retailers are required to display a price tag indicating the price of each consumer good and/or service, which shall include the price, value-added tax and service charge, if applicable. Consumers who opt to pay through credit/Automated Teller Machine (ATM)/debit card shall only pay the price indicated in the price tag. Retailers who accept credit/ATM/debit payment are not allowed to require the cardholders to pay a surcharge, extra charge, or additional charge above the price tag indicated.
