Net-Metering Program for Renewable Energy, Energy Regulatory Commission Resolution No. 09, Series of 2013 (Philippines)

Net-metering is a system in which a distribution grid user has a two-way connection to the grid and is only charged for his net electricity consumption which is the difference between its import energy (or energy imported by the distribution utility to the end-user) and its export energy (energy that the end-user exports back to the distribution grid). Qualified end-users refer to those who generate electric power from an eligible on-site Renewable Energy facility. The qualified end-user's export energy which exceeds the import energy will be used as credits by the distribution utility to offset the end-user's electricity bills.
