Mental Health Order, 2014 (Brunei Darussalam)
The Order established the rules and regulations with respect to mentally disabled persons:
- Their admission
- Detention and discharge from psychiatric facilities
- Leave of absence and transfer of involuntary patients from psychiatric facilities
- Persons admitted or confined in psychiatric facilities under the Criminal Procedure Code
It also defined the quality required for the establishment of a community psychiatric residence and community mental health center for the purpose of treating and rehabilitating persons suffering from mental disorder.
