Fisheries Order, 2009 (Brunei Darussalam)
The Act provides the rules and regulations for the issuance, validity, cancellation and suspension of licenses relating to fishery activities. It imposes offenses against any person who operates, has in his possession or control, set up or causes to be set up or contravenes the conditions of any license issued over any fishing appliances, marine culture system and local fishing vessels.
Foreign fishing vessels may be used for fishing or for conducting research or survey relating to fishery, provided that it is authorized to do so under an international fishery agreement, and is used in accordance with such purpose through a license.
