Energy Act 1998 (Cook Islands)

The Energy Division for the Ministry of Works, Energy and Physical Planning shall have the principal function of planning, promoting and encouraging the development of different sources for the generation of energy, ensure standards of safety, efficiency and economy of operation with respect to generation, transmission and distribution of energy, promote measures for conservation of energy, and monitor electricity tariffs, among others. 

The Cook Islands Electrical Workers Registration Board shall conduct academic training for examinations for, and receive applications for registration and issuance of practicing licenses of electrical workers, among others.
