Perumual is a seasoned chemical engineer and energy expert with over 16 years of experience in climate mitigation projects. Currently at the UNFCCC, he leads capacity building initiatives under Article 6 and guides negotiations on international cooperation and market-based mechanisms. He has also contributed to the ICAO's Global Market-Based Measures and Alternative Fuel Task Force. Previously, he served on the CDM Executive Board, implementing energy efficiency measures in numerous industrial facilities. Passionate about international cooperation, he believes in the power of market mechanisms to achieve climate goals.
