Paul Clos
Head of Private Sector and Climate Finance, iFAD
As an experienced legal expert, Paul lead the legal team managing the private sector operations, environment and social matters, and climate finance at IFAD. He began his career at Dentons and White & Case LLP, focusing on aircraft finance transactions in Paris and New York City. For the past 20 years, he has worked in three international financial institutions (EBRD, ADB, and IFAD, a UN Specialized Agency). At ADB, he advised the Vice President for Finance and Risk Management, leading reforms, including a USD 32 billion merger of financial resources involving 32 donor countries. He pioneered the first private sector debt transaction in the history of IFAD. He has been serving as a Visiting Professor at Sciences Po. Paris, since 2010, guiding future leaders in international public affairs.
