Nupur Chowdhury

Dr. Nupur Chowdhury is Assistant Professor of Law at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, India. She teaches courses on Political Science, Constitutional History, Research Methodology, Environmental law and Law and Technology. She has undertaken research projects in environmental jurisprudence in India, biodiversity law, environment impact assessment, health regulation and regulation of emerging technologies. She is a member of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law since 2010 and blogs at https://indiaenvirolegal.wordpress.com/.

She has been a Program Director of JNU-GNLU-ADB-UNEP Training Program on Environmental Law (https://www.teachenvirolaw.asia/event/india-ttt-20-training)  and is currently one of the Program Directors of the South Asian Research Colloquium on Environment and Climate Change, being co-organized by JNU, South Asian University (SAU) and Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) involving 40 environmental law academics from South Asia.
