M. Ayub Dar

Dr. M. Ayub Dar is serving as Professor of Law in the School of Law, University of Kashmir, India and has been teaching and guiding law students and scholars for the last twenty five years. Prior to his teaching carrier he was a practicing lawyer for around seven years in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and served as Standing Counsel to the local government in the State Forest Department and State Legal Services Authority. Professor Dar has a Ph.D in Environmental Law and has number of research publications in the field of environmental law, legal aid, public interest lawyering and alternate dispute resolution. Professor Dar has worked on number of administrative assignments in addition to his teaching assignments in the University of Kashmir. He has also participated in numerous international, national and state level conferences, seminars and other courses especially in the field of environmental law and legal aid, including two advanced level courses on environmental law teaching conducted by the ADB in Manila, Philippines.
