Hnin Hnin Saw Hla Maung

Hnin Hnin Saw Hla Maung is a Professor of Law Department, Taungoo University, Myanmar who teaches and researches on international human rights, humanitarian law and environmental law. She received law degrees from University of Yangon (LLB and LLM in International Law), Nagoya University Law School, Japan (LLM) and University of Yangon (PhD in Maritime Law) with a thesis titled Port State Control on Marine Environment Protection. She got experience of Clinical Legal Education Training Program in Khon Kaen University, Thailand, in 2013. She has attended Strategic Framework for Yangon University, in Lincoln College, Oxford, UK in 2014. She was a research fellow on Human Rights and studied curriculum development and course design, in Central European Union, Budapest, Hungary, in 2014.

She has written articles on Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law and Marine Environment in Journal of Taungoo University; Journal of Yangon University; Journal of Myanmar Art and Science Academy and Journal of Asian Research Center.

Since 2015, she has attended the training the Teachers project being conducted across 14 Asian countries with the support of the Asian Development Bank and Teacher & Trainers Workshop regarding "Protected Areas Law" at the Research Institute of Environmental Law (RIEL), Wuhan University, China. She is currently a member of WCEL.
