Associate Professor

Analissa Padon

Analissa Padon was born on March 26, 1977 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Philippines. She studied at Palawan State University from kindergarten until law school. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a college instructor at Palawan State University under the Department of Social Sciences where she taught social science and Philippine studies subjects.

After passing the bar in 2010, she engaged in private practice specializing in family and property law. Her clients are generally those who are financially challenged who cannot afford the prescribed IBP rates. Nevertheless, salary from Palawan State University and income from notarial services is enough to support the needs of my family.

Opportunity to engage in "environmental lawyering" presented itself in 2017 when Atty. Gethie Anda of Environmental Legal Assistance Center invited me to co-litigate in a civil case for damages filed by farmers and members of indigenous people against a mining company in Brooke's Point, Palawan.

I am married for thirteen years, but have yet no children.
