Wiang Kumkam is the archaeological site, in which the Fine Arts Department has the authority to manage in accordance with the Act but there is some problem occurs in this area. The local people have owned this area as personal ownership. There are some issues to be considered in management this archaeological site.
- As the local people have owned this area as personal ownership. The authority may impact the proprietary right of the ownership. Therefore these people should have the right to participate in management this area.
- Wiang Kumkam is one of the most tourist attraction in Chiang Mai. There are so many tourists come to this place and increasing every year. Both government and non-government are involved in economic term. Therefore the people who have the authorize should have the right to manage this area in economically.
- As the local people have owned this area as personal ownership, the Government should manage the city plan of Wiang Kumkam appropriately.
