ADB General Counsel Clark Meets with the Hon. Chief Justice of India, Discusses ADB’s Law and Policy Reform Program

On 2 March 2023, the Hon. Chief Justice Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, recently appointed as India’s 50th Chief Justice, met with General Counsel Thomas Clark during his visit to New Delhi. They discussed the support offered by ADB's Law and Policy Reform Program for global judicial knowledge sharing on key issues such as environment and climate change and gender justice. They also discussed other challenges and opportunities such as court backlog, increasing e-justice and expanding the use of technology in the courts and agreed to continue their cooperation.
