Workplace Safety and Health Order, 2009 (Brunei Darussalam)
The Order imposes general duties of taking necessary measures to ensure the safety and health of identified persons on the following:
- Occupiers
- Employers
- Self-employed persons
- Principals
- Persons at work
- Manufacturers and suppliers of machinery
- Equipment or hazardous substances at work
- Persons who erect, install or modify machinery or equipment
- Persons in control of machinery for use at work occupier of common areas
It grants the Commissioner of Workplace Safety and Health powers to investigate, inquire, and report accidents, dangerous occurrences and occupational diseases, among others. It further provides for rules on safety and health management arrangements, and the codes of practice.
