Waste Prevention and Management (Amendment) Regulation, 2016 (Bhutan)
The Waste Prevention and Management (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 amends the regulation of the same title issued in 2012. Among the amendments and additions, it expressly provides that "no hazardous waste shall be imported into the kingdom of Bhutan." It also specifically provides the government agencies which are authorized to impose fines in case of non-compliance. It also provides for a new list of offenses and fines to be inserted in the regulation.
