Unfair Competition Prevention Act, Act No. 47 of 1993 (Japan）
The Act enumerated the definition of unfair competition and established the right of a person whose business interests have been infringed or are likely to be infringed upon through unfair competition to make a claim for injunction. It also penalizes any person who intentionally or negligently infringes on the business interests of another person through unfair competition by making such person liable for loss or damage resulting therefrom. It likewise enumerated the prohibited acts of unfair competition pursuant to international agreements.
