Twelfth Malaysia Plan 2021-2025

The Twelfth Malaysia Plan focuses on three key themes of:

1. Resetting the economy
2. Strengthening security, wellbeing and inclusivity
3. Advancing sustainability

These themes will be achieved through four catalytic policy enablers, namely:

1. Developing future talent
2. Accelerating technology adoption and innovation
3. Enhancing connectivity and transport infrastructure
4. Strengthening the public service. 

These policy enablers will be the foundation and building blocks of Malaysia’s development over the next five years. It is hoped that shared prosperity, enhanced inclusivity and a more sustainable Malaysia for future generations will result from the implementation of the Twelfth Plan. In the long-term, the wellbeing of Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) be restored. The national development priorities of the Twelfth Plan will continue to be aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda). In line with the principle of “leaving no one behind,” localizing SDG initiatives will be intensified, and communication, education and public awareness will be emphasized to enhance understanding and implementation of the SDGs at the local level.
