Transgender Persons (Protection and Rights) Act, 2018 (Pakistan)

The Act prescribed the right of a transgender person to be recognized as per his or her self-perceived gender identity. It also lays down other rights of a transgender person including the right to inherit, right to education, right to employment, right to vote, right to hold public office, right to health, right to assembly, right of access to public places, right to property and the guarantee to the fundamental rights under the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It also prohibits discrimination against a transgender person.
