Subscriber Identity Module Registration Act, Republic Act No. 11934 (Philippines)
End-users are required to register their Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) with the Public Telecommunications Entity as a pre-requisite for the SIM's activation, and failure to register the same shall result in its deactivation.
The Act also enumerated the prohibited acts including spoofing which refers to the act of transmitting misleading or inaccurate information about the source of the phone call or text message, with the intent to defraud, cause harm or wrongfully obtain anything of value, among others.
