Specifications for Quantifying, Monitoring, and Reporting on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals (Part 3), Ministry of Industry Notification No. 3989, 2009 (Thailand)

The Specifications for Quantifying and Reporting on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions and Removals is intended to benefit stakeholders by providing clear and consistent criteria and procedures for quantifying, monitoring, reporting and validating or verifying GHG inventories or projects. 

The document consists of three parts, namely: 

  • Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of GHG emissions and removals
  • Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring, and reporting of GHG emission reduction or removal enhancements
  • Part 3: Specification with guidance for the validations and verification of GHG assertions. 

This part (Part 3) of the document sets out the principles and requirements for verifying GHG inventories and validating or verifying GHG projects. It details the GHG-related validation or verification process as well as specifies the components thereof, making it useful for validating or verifying GHG assertions.
