The Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention) Act, 2071 (2014) (Nepal)

The Act states that sexual harassment is committed when a person abuses one's position, power, or authority over any employee or customer in the workplace by creating any form of pressure, influence, or enticement, or by discouraging them through the touching or attempt to touch any organ of the body with sexual intent, through the use or display of materials related to obscene and sexual activity, through the display of obscene and sexual intent, to make an offer for sexual activity, or to tease or annoy with sexual intent.

The Act lays down the procedure on the filing of a complaint of sexual harassment by the offended party with the manager, or with a hearing authority. Notably, the offended party may also file a complaint against the manager if the latter does not comply with his or her responsibilities under the Act.
