Securities Commission Act 2015 (Papua New Guinea)

The Securities Commission (Commission) shall have the primary function of licensing, regulating, monitoring and supervising the conduct of business activities in the securities and derivatives market. 

The Act defined the powers of the Commission which include investigation, examination and inquiries. It provided the procedures during investigations of the Commission including the initiation of prosecution and civil proceedings. It also laid down the rules on the evidentiary use of materials and the punishable offenses.
