Rules on Juvenile Hearing and Decision, Rules of the Supreme Court No. 33 of 1948 (Japan)
The Rules state that the investigation, hearing and decision, as well as treatment of a juvenile case, should protect the juvenile's emotional stability and should be applied pursuant to the spirit of the Juvenile Act. They further prescribe the peculiar rules on the decision to be rendered by the courts, the investigation to be conducted by police officers, the conduct of hearings and the filing of an appeal for juvenile cases.
