Rules for the Green Energy Option Progam; Energy Regulatory Commission Resolution No. 08, Series of 2021, (Philippines)

The Rules for the Green Energy Option Program encourage qualified electricity consumers to avail of Renewable Energy as the source of their electricity supply, and established the procedure for qualified consumers to exercise this option. They define the rights and obligations of different stakeholders involved in the program. They were issued pursuant to the State's policy in the Renewable Energy Act of 2008, which encourages the development and utilization of renewable energy resources as tools to effectively prevent or reduce harmful emission to balance economic growth and development with health and environment.
