The Right to Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Act, 2075 (2018) (Nepal)
The Act enunciates the right to every woman and teenager to obtain education, information, counseling and service related to sexual and reproductive health, the right to obtain family planning service, the right to obstetric leave with pay for a minimum of 98 days before or after the delivery of their baby and the right of a woman to obstetric care and newborn care, among others.
The Act also allows a pregnant woman the right to a safe abortion provided that the circumstances stated in the Act are present.
