Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations for Patents, Utility Models and Industrial Designs of 2022, Intellectual Property of the Philippines Memorandum Circular No. 2022-016

The Memorandum Circular provides for the revised rules to streamline the administrative procedures in the registration of patents, utility models and industrial designs. As to patents, the Memorandum Circular enumerates patentable inventions and rights to a patent, defines the concept of prior art, and provides for the procedure in the registration thereof. The Memorandum Circular likewise defines registrable utility models and industrial designs, and similarly provides for the process for the application and registration thereof.
