Regulation on Energy Conservation, Presidential Regulation No. 70 of 2009 (Indonesia)

The Regulation on Energy Conservation provides that national energy conservation shall be the responsibility of the government, provincial government, regental/municipal governments, entrepreneurs and communities. Moreover, the master plan of national energy conservation shall be formulated and stipulated by the Minister. It shall contain targets, principles of policy, programs and energy conservation measures. The regulations provide the specific responsibilities of the government, the regional government, the regental/municipal governments, entrepreneurs and the community. The implementation of energy conservation shall cover all phases of energy management namely supply, exploitation, utilization and resource conservation. It also outlines incentives for parties complying with certain success criteria for implementation of energy conservation.
