Regulating the Establishment and Operation of Pawnshops, Presidential Decree No. 114, 29 January 1973 (Philippines)
Pawnshop business must register with the Bureau of Commerce or the Securities Exchange Commission, as applicable, and secure a license from the appropriate city or municipality having territorial jurisdiction over the place of establishment and operation. The Presidential Decree also requires the registration of the pawnshop with the Central Bank, and lays down the required minimum paid-in capital and citizenship requirements, among others.
